Students coming to the school regularly and those taking part in other extra school activities are entitled to a monthly allowance of Rs 200 along with stationeries, according to school teacher Lokendra Bahadur Khadka.
The school's decision has also encouraged guardians to send their children to school. As a result, many students are regular lately, said Khadka.
School management outgoing chairman Bam Bahadur Pun said the fact that regular students are entitled to the economic and educational assistance has also inspired other students who are irregular.
Other helping hands are also supporting the school's idea. One Khim Sherchan of Raghuganga Rural Municipality who works at a social orgnisation based in the UK has launched a fundraising campaign to support the school.
He collected Rs two million from the campaign and the amount has been deposited in the school's fixed bank account. With this, the school is finding it easier to come up with other unique schemes to encourage children to attend classes regularly, said school library programme coordinator Harikrishna Gautam.
