Kathmandu
Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Poudel has said that the process of appointing the inspector general of Nepal Police should be moved ahead as ordered by the Supreme Court.
Addressing a joint meeting of the party’s Central Working Committee and the Parliamentary Party on Friday, Poudel expressed his dissatisfaction over the decision of party President Sher Bahadur Deuba that the NC would not follow the decision of the court on the IG appointment case. Poudel’s remarks come at a time when Deuba and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Bimalendra Nidhi are at odds over the IG candidate. (PR)
