Vice-president Claudia Roth of Bundestag, which is the lower house of the German parliament, will pay a three-day official visit to Nepal from Sunday.
Vice-president Claudia Roth of Bundestag, which is the lower house of the German parliament, will pay a three-day official visit to Nepal from Sunday.
She will lead a three-member delegation, according to the German Embassy. The visit is aimed at strengthening the parliamentary relations between the two countries, the embassy stated.
Roth will pay courtesy calls on President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Speaker Onasari Gharti. German Ambassador Matthias Meyer is scheduled to host a reception in the honour of the German delegation.
Roth will also share her experiences with the civil society. Germany has a strong foundation of the civil society, which is regarded a partner of the government in tackling challenges in the fields of human rights, climate change and renewable energy, according to the statement.
