A painter died after falling off the third floor of an under construction house near Durganagar Colony at Syuchatar in Nagarjun Municipality-9 on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Ram Rai, 40, of Syuchatar.

Critically injured in the incident, Rai was rushed to the Bir Hospital, but breathed his last during the course of treatment.

Rai was a permanent resident of Damak, Jhapa.
