Works at the District Land Revenue Office have been affected after supporters of the Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha barred officials from performing their duties in Saptari district on Friday.

The SLMM supporters organised a sit-in in front of the office. Satish Kumar Singh, officiating coordinator of the Morcha’s district unit, said they obstructed daily activities after officials started issuing land ownership certificates and collecting revenue according to the newly restructured local units.

The alliance of the seven Madhes-based parties is against the newly carved out local units.
