A pregnant woman from Duikholi Village Council in northern Rolpa died on Friday as she could not be taken to hospital on time.
Condition of 20-year-old Bimala Roka worsened after her family members initially took her to faith healers for treatment.
Doctors said her family was unable to take care of her during pregnancy. “The baby died in the womb and she was unconscious while her relatives brought to the district hospital,” said Dr Bhawani Prasad Sharma, chief of the District Health Office.
