The digging of a tunnel for the much-awaited Melamchi Drinking Water Project has neared the completion phase.
Work of digging a tunnel through a 4.1 kilometer-stretch is left to be done, according to Melamchi Drinking Water Development Board Deputy Executive Ramakant Duwadi. Works of digging a tunnel through a 27.5 kilometer-section from Ambathan of Helambu, the origin site of the river to Sundarijal, are being undertaken.
Tunnel construction works are going on with the objective of supplying Melamchi water to the Capital denizens by the upcoming Dashain, as said by Duwadi. RSS
