A 40-year-old man from Alital Village Council in Dadeldhura district murdered his wife and committed suicide on Saturday.

According to the District Police Office, Karan Bohara hacked his wife, Belmati, to death using a sharp-edged weapon before hanging himself in a forest near his house.

Police said the motive behind Bohara’s action was not immediately clear.
