As many as 20 persons including seven women were arrested for their alleged involvement in electricity theft at Surunga in Kankai Municipality of Jhapa on Sunday.
A joint team of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Anarmani Distribution Centre and the Area Police Office Anarmani caught them red handed while they were trying to steal electricity last night, Centre's Chief Rajiv Kumar Singh said.
Police said that they have confiscated an irrigation mortar, electric wires used to hook the central power line and an electricity meter, NEA engineer Dhirendra Bajgain said. RSS
