Limbuwan leader Kamal Chharahang died of cardiac arrest at the Morang-based Neuro Hospital on Saturday.
He was an advocate of an autonomous Limbuwan state comprising nine districts across the Arun.
He had recently founded the new political party, Limbuwan Mukti Morcha (Sanghiyabadi).
Chharahan was due to address a function in Dhankuta on Sunday. He is survived by his wife and their three children.
