UN official calls on PM Dahal

Visiting Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP) Shamshad Akhtar called on Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal at the latter’s office in Sindha Durbar on Friday.
During the meeting, the duo discussed matters relating to the UN ESCAP affairs.
The Commission that was established in 1947 AD presently comprises 53 countries including Nepal in Asia-Pacific region as its members while various nine countries are associated with it.
Akhtar of Pakistan had assumed the post in 2014.
The UN ESCAP is assisting in the sectors of socio-economic development, environment and sustainable development, information and communications and technology in the region. RSS
