The final hearing by a full bench of justices on the case of appointment of the Inspector General of Nepal Police has been scheduled for Sunday.
Considering the gravity of the matter, the division bench of Justices Ishwor Khatiwada and Tej Bahadur KC passed the case to a full bench.
Although the final hearing was scheduled for Thursday, the apex court put it off reasoning that the government had failed to submit the files concerning the evaluation of both Jaya Bahadur Chand and Nawaraj Silwal.
The division bench ordered that the evaluation reports of both Chand, who was promoted as the IG, and Silwal, who filed a case against the Cabinet decision, be presented to the court within 24 hours.
