Two hundred and two students in Ilam district have not been able to appear in the Secondary Education Examinations (SEE) that started throughout the country from Thursday.

These students have been barred from taking the exams as they have not paid the revenue to school or are school drop-outs or have not met the mandatory 75 percent attendance, the District Education Office (DEO), Ilam stated.

As per the DEO, Ilam, 4,564 students are sitting in the SEE under the regular category in Ilam district this year.

Similarly, 314 students are taking the exams under the exempted category while 150 under the compartmental category.

The total number of examinees in Ilam district is 5,528.

There are 26 exam centres throughout the district after removing seven centres due to lack of the required number of candidates. RSS
