Japan has decided to extend grant assistance of Rs8.82 million to the Kathmandu University under the Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP).Japan has decided to extend grant assistance of Rs8.82 million to the Kathmandu University under the Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP).
The Kathmandu University will implement the project for the installation of water purification system at Dhulikhel Hospital and Ravi Opi Village, the Japanese Embassy in Kathmandu said in a statement on Monday.
A contract to this effect will be signed and exchanged between Charge d’Affaires at Japanese Embassy Shinya Machida and KU Vice-chancellor Ram Kantha Makaju Shrestha on Tuesday.
The project is expected to improve the water quality at Dhulikhel Hospital and Ravi Opi Village, giving patients, medical staffs and villagers access to safe drinking water. The system will be managed by the hospital and local water management committee. (PR)
