The general strike called by the Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha (SLMM) to protest the Saptari incident has affected normal life in eastern Nepal.

Public vehicles have stayed off the roads from early morning hours while educational institutes have shutdown along with factories in Biratnagar.

The strike enforcers torched a motorbike at Duhabi of Sunsari. The District Police Office, Morang has said there have not been any untoward incidents in Morang. RSS
