Normal life was completely affected in Kapilvastu for the second consecutive day on Wednesday due to the two-day Madhes banda enforced by Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha (SLMM) in protest against the recent Saptari incident.

Th shutdown enforcers staged demonstration in and around Taulihawa since early morning. The East-West Highway was completely disrupted in the district due to banda.

Likewise, there was no vehicular movement along the Taulihawa-Jitpur, Krishnanagar-Chandrauta, Taulihawa-Lumbini road section due to shutdown.

Revenue collection was also been affected here with the disruption of import and export via Krishnanagar Customs Checkpoint. RSS
