Kathmandu
The Cabinet on Tuesday extended the deadline for the taskforce formed to revise the boundaries of local units by three days after it failed to submit the report by Monday.
The government has directed the panel to settle the dispute over local restructuring by increasing the number of units in Province 2 and resolving boundary issues elsewhere. The panel is led by Minister Hitraj Pandey. The team has decided not to exceed the 744 limit set earlier by the Restructuring Commission before recommending an increase in their number. (PR)
