Two persons died this afternoon after a tipper veered off the road at Sunkhani of Kalika Municipality-1, Chitwan.

According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, the limestone-loaded tipper (Na 1 Ka 6029) fell 100 meters down the road killing Sanumaiya Chepang, 35, of Kaule VDC-9 and six-month-old infant Akriti Darai of Khairani Municiaplity-2 of the district.

Parbati Darai, 19, and Phulmati Chepang, 16, of Khairani-2 were injured in the incident. They are receiving treatment at College of Medical Sciences, Bharatpur.

The health condition of Darai is learnt to be critical. It is reported that the commuters took control the vehicle even in absence of the driver. The accident occurred after truck moved down all of a sudden. RSS
