Two Nepali students drown in Sydney beach

The deceased has been identified as Shristi Bhandari, 23, of Kathmandu and her friend Sudip Upreti, 25, of Jhapa has been missing.
Local police told the media that they found the body of a woman from the beach after a jogger who discovered the body reported to police.

Australian rescue personnel have been searching for Upreti in the ocean. The search operation has been hampered by poor visibility, and strong swell conditions.
News reports said Upreti was with Bhandari when they drowned.
According to their friend Pawan Adhikari, he informed the police after the duo, who had gone to visit the beach, did not return home till late evening.
Upreti was in Australia for the past three years while Bhandari had reached only few months ago and was a student of University of New South Wales.
NRN Australia Vice-Chairman Dinesh Pokharal said that they were deeply shocked and saddened by the incident.
Earlier in December last year, two Nepali students had drowned, in separate incidents, while celebrating Christmas with their friends.
