The Ministry of Health has said all the primary health centres (PHC) across the country will get necessary medical equipment in the next four months.
According to Minister for Heatlh Gagan Thapa, the government has, as part of its commitment to strengthen health institutions, managed the budget of Rs 960 million to purchase medical equipment for health centres across the country.
Directives have already been issued to the authorities concerned to take stock of physical infrastructure of 201 primary health centres across the country, availability of health professionals and equipment there. The ministry would start buying equipment once it gets the report.
