At least 20 persons were injured when a bus they were travelling in met with an accident at Ghodaghadi in Kailali on Monday.

According to the District Police Office, Kailali, the ill-fated bus (Na 6 Kha 6328) was heading towards Nepalgunj from Bhimduttanagar when the incident occurred this afternoon.

Among the injured, Dropadi Bam, 55, and her husband Dil Bahadur Bam, 60, are said to be in critical condition.

Both of them have been rushed to a hospital in Nepalgunj for treatment, informed police.

It has been learnt that the bus driver fled the scene after the incident.
