Eleven wild buffaloes have so far been brought to the Chitwan National Park (CNP) from the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve and the Central Zoo in the Capital.
Ten wild buffaloes including two males from the Koshi Tappu and one male from the Central Zoo have been brought to here recently, said CNP Chief Ram Chandra Kandel.
Eleven wild buffaloes were released in the park in the past 12 days and more two are arriving from the Koshi Tappu soon, said CNP Information Officer Narendra Aryal.
The government had some two years ago decided to bring 20 wild buffaloes including five males to the park. Remaining others will be shifted in an appropriate time.
