A girl was killed and two others were seriously injured when a lorry bearing Indian registration number plate struck a motorbike near Parawanipur of Parsa on Saturday.

The lorry (PB 65 M 9086) en route to Parawanipur from Birgunj rammed a Splendour motorbike (Na 27 Pa 9086) heading towards Birgunj killing 17 – year – old Om Rawati Kumari Sah. She died on the way to Narayani Sub Regional Hospital in Birgunj, police said.

The identities of the two injured persons are yet to be ascertained. They are being treated at Gandak Hospital in Birgunj. The police have impounded the lorry whereas its driver fled after the incident. RSS
