Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal said that the press has a major role in finalising the peace process and constitution writing.
Talking with the delegates of the Press Council from India, Bangladesh and Cyprus, at his official residence, Baluwatar on Thursday, PM Dahal added that the press was a foundation of democracy and good governance.
He added that the government was committed to ensure the freedom of the press. Prime Minister Dahal further said that the 21st century was the era of information and communication, adding that it has brought immense change in the world.
Present on the occasion were Press Council Nepal chair Borna Bahadur Karki and representatives of the Federation of Nepali Journalists. RSS
