The system came into effect from Monday, the court’s information officer, Krishna Prasad Baral, said.
Under the new system, the litigants will be notified when the case will be heard by the judge.
In an average, it takes the district court 568 days to finalise a case. District Judge Tek Narayan Kunwar believes the calendar system will particularly help the court manage the pending cases in a scientific and efficient manner. Besides, he said, the service seekers will also get timely justice.
The calendar system was earlier adopted by the district courts in Bhaktapur, Tanahun and Nawalparasi.
