An unidentified group of arsonists last night set fire to Shaligram Secondary School located at Setibeni Bazaar of Shaligram VDC in eastern Parbat.

The attack took place at 12 midnight with the fire destroying important documents and millions worth of furniture.

The arsonists at first tried to break into a shop belonging to Ramesh Neupane at Sentibeni Bazaar, but fled when the locals woke up. The group then headed to the school and set it alight, local police said.

The fire has destroyed important financial files and other documents from 1971 to 2003, local villager, Prem Bhusal shared. RSS
