Suspended Chief of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Lokman Singh Karki on Friday requested police to release the two men who were arrested in connection with the mistreatment against him.
A statement issued by Karki requested police to release the two men (names not disclosed for security reason) as they were only assigned by others behind the scene to attack him on his deposition date at the Supreme Court and it would not be possible to book the main culprits at the earliest.
The two men said to be the cadres of the Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN (Maoist) smeared soot on Karki's face on Thursday during his court appearance to face charges against him related to misuse of power as former CIAA Chief. RSS
