A committee formed by the Ministry of Health has started investigation into Charikot Hospital strike prompted by a video where the hospital doctors were forced to apologise before cameras to the relatives of a two-year-old boy who had died during treatment on September 23.

The three-member probe committee met with Chief District Officer of Dolakha Pushpa Raj Shahi and witnesses to inquire about the incident on Friday.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Home Affairs has recalled Assistant Chief District Officer Aulakh Bahadur Ale and Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabin Karki to Kathmandu after they were also embroiled in the incident.

The protesting hospital staff have claimed that their doctors were humiliated in presence of police and officials from the District Administration Office.

Charikot Hospital is shut in protest since Wednesday.
