The closed session of Nepal Students Union, sister wing of the Nepali Congress, is set to start on Wednesday.
The NSU has finally decided to hold the closed session from Wednesday afternoon, said NSU Chairman Ranjit Karna.
The NSU is holding its 11th national convention almost after a decade.
The convention, which kicked off the in capital on Sunday, however, hit a snag on Monday following dispute regarding representatives in some districts, which resulted in the postponement of the closed session on Monday.
According to Karna, the direction committee formed by the party to hold the general convention will settle the dispute over the representatives for the general convention by Tuesday night to pave the way for the closed session on Wednesday.
However, student leaders and cadres participating in the convention are still in confusion about the closed session.
Committee member Gururaj Ghimire said the disputes in 11 districts have been sorted out.
The NC had formed a directive committee under the coordination of party leader Prakash Sharan Mahat for holding the NSU general convention. Govinda Bhattarai, Gururaj Ghimire, Kishor Singh Rathaur and Pradeep Poudel are members.
The NSU had booked the hall in Bhrikutimandap for three days for the convention which should have concluded on Tuesday had everything gone smoothly.
Students gathered at Bhrikutimandap on Tuesday shouted slogans demanding that the closed session be held on time.
