The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Tuesday filed a corruption case against Jivnath Shiwakoti, an official at the Land Reform Office, Kalanki.
In the chargesheet, the CIAA has accused Shiwakoti of amassing property disproportionate to his known source of income.
Shiwakoti, who entered the service from Bagmati Zonal Court, has been charged with accumulating Rs14.7 million illegally. The anti-graft body has sought fine and jail sentence for the accused as per Prevention of Corruption Act, 2059. (PR)
