Minister for Land Reform and Management Ram Kumar Subba has remarked that he is ready to forgo his minister position for the sake of reinstating monarchy in the country.

“I have always valued monarchy more than minister position,” Minister Subba said in an interaction in the Capital on Monday. “If any authorities including prime minister try to suppress my view, I am ready to relinquish the post.”

In a different note, Minister Subba said that his ministry has introduced strategy to make Kailali, Darchula, Humla, Surkhet, Jajarkot and Doti free of Haliya system [agricultural bonded labourer] in upcoming fiscal year. He also shared that his ministry is working to make Dang, Banke, Bardiya, Kailali and Kanchanpur free of Kamaiya system [bonded labourer].
