Highlighting its key achievements, the 26-page report says that one of the major tasks of the government are amendment to the new constitution, publicity of the charter and formulation of laws in line with the statute. Formation of mechanisms to strengthen federalism, local bodies and the constitutional bodies was cited as another major work of the government.
Another highlight was preparations for reconstruction of the structures damaged by earthquakes last year. On foreign policy front, the document stated the outcomes of PM Oli’s visits to India and China, including agreements signed with the northern neighbour.
The government also claimed to have eased the Tarai standoff and taken initiatives to minimise misunderstanding with India to open the border blockage.
The report listed the initiatives being taken to improve the education sector, control black marketeering of goods and to address the energy crisis.
