Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Kamal Thapa has called on the UK government to swiftly resolve the pending case of Nepal Army Colonel Kumar Lama.
During a meeting with Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice Michael Gove in London, Thapa urged him to help resolve the case, saying Nepal has already formed transitional justice bodies to look into conflict-era cases.
Lama is facing trial in London for two counts of human rights violations in 2005 when he was posted at Gorusinge barracks in Kapilvastu district.
