Armed group, police exchange firing at Taplejung
The police and armed groups exchanged firing at Taplejung on Tuesday. The firing took place at Ikhawu VDC that lies at a walking distance of one-and-a-half day from the district headquarters Fungling.

The police and armed groups exchanged firing at Taplejung on Tuesday. The firing took place at Ikhawu VDC that lies at a walking distance of one-and-a-half day from the district headquarters Fungling.
According to DSP Shantiraj Koirala, the armed group first pulled the trigger at security personnel at around 3:30 pm today while the police was in the area to search the assailants.
The police nabbed one 35-year-old Kumar Limbu along with a rifle during the confrontation.
The armed group belongs to Kirat Mulbasi Swotantra Limbuwan group.
