A clash erupted outside the Hetauda-based Palpasa hall, after police barred the RPP-N cadres who were assembled to obstruct the feedback collection programme. Thapa was leading the protestors.
Lawmaker Thapa along with his son Abhishek Thapa, and his sister-in-law Pralita Thapa, wife of party Chairman Kamal Thapa, among other cadres, were injured during the clash.
The injured are receiving medical attention at the local hospital.
