Earlier in the morning, Thapa’s brother and lawmaker from RPP-N, Ganesh Thapa, had also sustained injuries when his team tried to obstruct the feedback collection programme at Hetauda-based Palpasa hall.
Disgruntled Kamal Thapa arrived at the venue after other lawmakers were injured in the clash with police.
DSP Sishu Sharma said 19 police and six people were injured after the cadres of RPP-Nepal pelted stones.
After two hours of obstruction, the feedback collection resumed at Palpasa Hall.
Chairman Thapa accused that the police attacked them under the influence of ruling parties.
Meanwhile, RPP-Nepal cadres had called Hetauda Bazar shutdown throughout the day to protest the attack on its lawmakers and cadres.
