Students, who reached their respective schools on Monday after a month following the April 25 earthquake and the powerful tremor of May 12, seemed to be excited, though their school buildings were damaged by the earthquakes. Students at Shree Bhume Devi Secondary School of Thulo Gaun VDC-6 of Rasuwa also started taking classes from Wednesday with the construction of new buildings. On the first day of their school, the students lent their support for shifting the desks and benches from their schools that was badly damaged by the quake. In some places, the students were sent back citing lack of necessary preperations for resuming the classes owing to lack of school buildings.
Meanwhile, a team of 40 people under the leadership of Nepali Congress lawmaker Gagan Thapa has built school buildings for five schools in the district.
Lawmaker Thapa has been working as per his pledge to build 100 schools in the earthquake hit districts.
