Nepal’s father Mangal Kumar Upadhyay died in their residence in Koteshwor at 7 am on Tuesday. He was suffering from neck problems. He was 99.

Despite the ill health of his father, leader Nepal had gone to districts to take stock of the damages caused by the earthquake and collect relief materials for those affected by it.

Nepal’s personal aide Mohan Gautam informed that the final rites will be performed at Pashupati Aryaghat later today.
