Nepal crowned ACC U-16 Premier League champions
Nepali cricket team secured a historical win against Malaysia in the ACC U-16 Premier League tournament in Malaysia on Wednesday.

Nepal defeated the host country by a margin of 32 runs and became the only country under the ACC to win all the age group tournament. Earlier, Nepal had won the U-15s, U-17s and the U-19s titles.
Chasing a target of 162 runs, Malaysian side were bowled out for 129 in 36th over.
Nepal had posted a total of 161 for nine after some big hitting from the bottom order batsmen.
Losing the toss and being sent to bat first at the Kinrara Oval in Kuala Lumpur, Nepal made a poor start in their inning losing early wickets without much runs on board. Pawan Sharraf then rescued the Nepali innings with a quickfire 44 runs from just 26 balls. Rabi Chand also contributed valuable 34 runs. Asif Sheikh was another notable contributor with 20 runs. Muhammad Islah took four wickets for Malaysia.
Jitendra Singh picked up two wickets for Nepal. Anil Kharel, Ashish Pokharel, Rijan Dhakal took a wicket each.
