At least five dead in Rukum West jeep crash

At least five people were killed when a jeep travelling to Musikot Khalanga from Syalakhadi in Aathbiskot Municipality met with an accident on Friday.
The Bolero jeep crashed at Lisne in ward 7 of Banfikot Rural Municipality, about 35 kilometres from Khalanga, police said.
According to Police Inspector Hari Pun, the information officer at the District Police Office, Rukum West, the identities of the deceased have not yet been established. “So far, five deaths have been reported, but details are yet to be verified. Our team is on the way to the site,” he said.
The number of passengers on board the jeep remains unknown.
