Two people, including an excavator driver, were killed in an accident in Chankheli Rural Municipality, southern Humla, on Sunday night.
The deceased have been identified as 45-year-old Parbal Kami and 31-year-old Arjun Kami, the excavator driver, both from ward 2 of Chankheli Rural Municipality, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Shankar Pokharel at the District Police Office, Humla.
Both victims succumbed to their injuries while receiving treatment at Srimashta Primary Health Post, DSP Pokharel added.
The accident occurred in the Loti area when the excavator veered off the road and fell 100 meters into a ravine while travelling from Piplang to Mimi.
