17 injured in Salyan jeep accident
The vehicle overturns after brake failure, causing casualties, police say.

As many as 17 people were injured in a jeep accident in Salyan on Sunday morning.
The incident occurred around 10am near Falate in ward 3 of Siddha Kumakh Rural Municipality while the vehicle was en route from Timile of the rural municipality to Srinagar.
According to Police Inspector Resham Bahadur Khatri of the District Police Office, Salyan, all injured were promptly rescued and are currently receiving treatment at the Sharada Polyclinic in Sharada Municipality-1.
He said the jeep, which was carrying 18 people, including the driver, overturned after its brakes failed and crashed. The driver, 24-year-old Aakash Badi, a resident of Sharada Municipality-1, has been taken into custody.
