Bodies of the missing couple in Jajarkot landslide found

The bodies of the couple missing in the Jajarkot landslide after being buried in debris has been retrieved.
According to District Superintendent of Police Purushottam Pandey, the bodies of the buried couple Man Bahadur Chalaune, 47, and his wife Prem Kumari Chalaune, 38, were pulled out from the landslide-hit area.
The bodies were then sent to the Primary Health Centre for post-mortem.
Their daughter rescued with severe injuries has been taken to Province Hospital Surkhet in a Nepal Army’s helicopter for further treatment.
The couple went missing after a landslide buried their house in Jajarkot early Sunday morning, leaving their daughter seriously injured. The incident occurred around 2 am in ward 6 of Barekot Rural Municipality.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Purushottam Pandey, chief of the Jajarkot District Police Office, earlier said police teams were dispatched from Sepukhola, Nayakwada, and Ramidanda to the site.
