Nepal logs 23 new Covid-19 cases

According to the Health Ministry, 964,823 infected people have recovered from the disease so far and the number of active cases stands at 1,558. Nepal logs 23 new Covid-19 cases

Nepal on Sunday reported 15 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 978,332.

Similarly, eight people tested positive in a total of 1,442 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.

As of Sunday, 5,529,353 PCR and 1,122,027 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.

A total of 3,780 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.

The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,951 since the pandemic began.

According to the ministry, 964,823 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 215 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 1,558.

Kathmandu Valley recorded eight new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, six cases were confirmed in Kathmandu and two in Lalitpur.

In the past 24 hours, one new infection was recorded in Madhes, 10 in Bagmati and two each in Gandaki and Lumbini.

On Sunday, 23 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another two were on ventilator support in Bagmati province.

Nepal on Saturday reported eight new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases. Similarly, 12 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were reported on Friday and 32 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded on Thursday.
