Nepal logs eight new Covid-19 cases
According to the Health Ministry, 964,608 infected people have recovered from the disease so far and the number of active cases stands at 1,758.Post Report
Nepal on Saturday reported eight new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 978,317.
According to the Health Ministry, in the last 24 hours, no one tested positive in a total of 959 antigen tests.
As of Saturday, 5,525,573 PCR and 1,120,585 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 1,696 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,951 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 964,608 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 210 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 1,758.
Kathmandu Valley recorded three new infections in the past 24 hours. All three cases were confirmed in Kathmandu.
In the past 24 hours, two new infections were recorded in Province 1, three in Bagmati, one in Gandaki and two in Lumbini.
According to the data released by the ministry, one district–Kathmandu–is home to more than 200 active cases each.
On Saturday, 19 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another two were on ventilator support in Bagmati province.
Nepal on Friday reported 12 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases. Similarly, 32 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded on Thursday and 34 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded on Wednesday.
