Nepal logs 18 new Covid-19 cases
According to the Health Ministry, 964,398 infected people have recovered from the disease so far and the number of active cases stands at 1,960.Post Report
Nepal on Friday reported 12 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 978,309.
Similarly, six people tested positive in a total of 1,520 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Friday, 5,523,877 PCR and 1,119,626 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 2,822 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,951 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 964,398 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 271 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 1,960.
Kathmandu Valley recorded four new infections in the past 24 hours. All four cases were confirmed in Kathmandu.
In the past 24 hours, one new infection was recorded in Madhesh Pradesh, four in Bagmati, one in Lumbini and six in Sudurpaschim.
According to the data released by the ministry, two districts–Kathmandu and Lalitpur–are home to more than 200 active cases each.
On Friday, 21 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another two were on ventilator support in Bagmati province.
Nepal on Thursday reported 32 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases. Similarly, 34 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded on Wednesday and 35 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and one death were reported on Tuesday.
