Nepal logs 35 new Covid-19 cases
According to the Health Ministry, 964,127 infected people have recovered from the disease so far and the number of active cases stands at 2,219.Post Report
Nepal on Thursday reported 32 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 978,297.
Similarly, three people tested positive in a total of 1,387 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Thursday, 5,521,055 PCR and 1,118,106 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 3,881 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,951 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 964,127 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 266 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 2,219.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 10 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of them, nine cases were confirmed in Kathmandu and one Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, five new infections were recorded in Province 1, 17 in Bagmati, four in Gandaki and three each in Lumbini and Sudurpaschim.
According to the data released by the ministry, two districts–Kathmandu and Lalitpur–are home to more than 200 active cases each.
On Wednesday, 21 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another two were on ventilator support in Bagmati province.
Nepal on Wednesday reported 34 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases. Similarly, 35 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and one death were reported on Tuesday and 41 new PCR coronavirus cases were reported on Monday.
