Nepal logs 58 new Covid-19 cases
According to the Health Ministry, 961,070 infected people have recovered from the disease so far and the number of active cases stands at 4,917.Post Report
Nepal on Monday reported 50 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 977,987.
Similarly, eight people tested positive in a total of 1,879 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Monday, 5,487,285 PCR and 1,096,562 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 3,539 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,950 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 961,218 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 148 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 4,819.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 26 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 25 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu and one in Lalitpur.
In the past 24 hours, seven new infections were recorded in Province 1, one in Madhesh Pradesh, 29 in Bagmati, 10 in Gandaki, one in Lumbini and two in Sudurpaschim.
According to the data released by the ministry, five districts are home to more than 200 active cases each.
On Monday, 30 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another six were on ventilator support in Bagmati province.
Nepal on Sunday reported 59 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and. Similarly, 30 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded on Saturday and 62 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and one death was confirmed on Friday.
