Nepal logs 77 new Covid-19 cases
According to the Health Ministry, the countrywide death toll has now reached 11,950 and the number of active cases stands at 5,212.Post Report
Nepal on Friday reported 62 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 977,848.
Similarly, 15 people tested positive in a total of 2,374 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Friday, 5,475,202 PCR and 1,090,218 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 5,607 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
The country reported one Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,950 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 960,686 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 189 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 5,212.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 21 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 15 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, four in Lalitpur and two in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, eight new infections were recorded in Province 1, four in Madhesh Pradesh, 27 in Bagmati, nine in Gandaki, six in Lumbini, one in Karnali and six in Sudurpaschim.
According to the data released by the ministry, eight districts are home to more than 200 active cases each.
On Friday, 32 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another five-four in Bagmati province and one in Province 1, were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Thursday reported 77 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and no death. Similarly, 68 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded on Wednesday and 74 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and one death were reported on Tuesday.
