Nepal logs 194 new Covid-19 cases
According to the Health Ministry, the countrywide death toll has now reached 11,949 and the number of active cases stands at 5,875.Post Report
Nepal on Tuesday reported 74 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 977,641.
Similarly, 120 people tested positive in a total of 2,756 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Tuesday, 5,455,858 PCR and 1,082,161 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 3,638 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
The country reported one Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,949 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 959,817 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 348 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 5,875.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 23 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 16 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu and seven in Lalitpur.
In the past 24 hours, eight new infections were recorded in Province 1, nine in Madhesh Pradesh, 30 in Bagmati, 13 in Gandaki, nine in Lumbini, one in Karnali and four in Sudurpaschim.
According to the data released by the ministry, 10 districts are home to more than 200 active cases each.
On Tuesday, 42 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another five in Bagmati province were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Monday reported 66 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and one death. Similarly, 54 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and two deaths were reported on Sunday and 67 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were reported on Saturday.
